Using Capital letters


Use of capital letters


The uses of capital letters for instances;
1.      Always capitalize the first word of every sentences and the first word in a direct quotation when a sentence or independent part of a sentence is citied.
Example: I am hungry.
2.      Capitalize brand names, but don’t capitalize the product.
Example: Wasbirullah coffee, Wasbirullah sugar, Wasbirullah cheese
3.      Capitalize the words that mean places such as street, town, and city.
Example: The Sebau City is in Indonesia.
4.      Capitalize the word of family relationship preceding the name of person.
Example: I know that Father and Mother will invite Uncle Revi, Uncle Wasbi, and Uncle Kape to come to my birthday party in Sebau city.
5.      Capitalize regions of country and personal titles when they are used immediately before a name.
Example: I will forget the beautifully of the South Sumatera’s  culture, if I died.
6.      Capitalize the name of nationalities, religious groups, and languages.
Example: I love Bahasa Indonesia.
7.      Capitalize the pronoun I and interjection O.
Example: I like banana, O’o
8.      Capitalize the day of the week, the month of the year and holidays.
Example: Today is Wednesday, 30th November 2011.
9.      Capitalize the name of the planets, but not the sun and the moon.
Example: I want to go to Titan.
10.  Capitalize historical events, period, and famous documents.
Example: There are so many unrealistic things in The World War II.
11.  Capitalize the name of particular courses.
Example: I study English, Japanese, Arabic, And Bahasa Indonesia at Wasbirullah One
12.  Capitalize the names of clubs and societies and their abbreviation.
Example: Sriwijaya FC, SFC
13.  Capitalize the first words of every line of verse or poem, unless the poet does not.
Example:
      Ya Allah                       Ya Allah
      Ya Tuhanku                  My God
      Ampuni dosaku            Forgive my sins
